Nothing like popcorn that didn't run through half a mile of factory before hitting your stove. My favorite movie night snack, by far. Had some friends over and some were actually shocked to learn you can make popcorn without a microwave!

Been looking for an office away from the house and biking in and back, but I've never been a bike person. I have no idea what is reasonable, nor if I'll have the conviction to stick with it. So, I only want to start on a decent, but not professional used unit and I don't know what's reasonable. Was hoping you could give me a low and high so I know what to just pass on looking at.

I think it would take me some time to be able to keep up the daily miles you're logging.

Hi Jenny,
I think your idea is great. If and when you sell your home, potential buyers will value the historic siding more than any kind of vinyl you could buy. So leaving your current siding exposed will already increase the value of your home. We took off the siding on two parts of the house, because we were changing around where some windows were going to be. Its pretty easy to take the siding off, and then very easy to scrape and paint the siding once on the ground. The nicest part is..its already cut in pieces that are perfectly sized for your house (if you keep track). Just start at the top of the siding, carefully pry with a crowbar, and work your way down.
The only potential downfall to your idea is what may be behind your boards. Underneath our siding, we had wood sheathing/planks that the siding was nailed to. So... sheathing was nailed to the studs and siding was nailed to the sheathing. If you have that, then you would have to take the sheathing down too which could be a pain. One final thought is that before you put up your siding again, you could install a vapor barrier, which is like plasticy paper. It kind of acts like a windbreaker, and will help keep your house warmer.
